The first teaser of Anushka Shetty and R. Madhavan's is out and he creates the suspense without using a single spoken word.
Nishabdam teaser, R. Madhavan's multilingual thriller, was unveiled Wednesday on the eve of Anushka Shetty's birthday. The visuals promise a solid whodunit in which everyone is suspicious.
The teaser begins with images of Anushka and Madhavan on vacation. We see them enter an isolated house in the city. On the next shot, we see Anushka lying in a hospital bed, slightly bruised and explaining something in sign language. It is obvious that he plays a silent character in the film.
Then come the plans that present other key characters of the film. From Michael Madsen to Anjali in Subbaraju, the teaser gives us a glimpse of their characters. We also have investigative scenes and we follow the police on the lookout for something.
At one point, the teaser suggests that each character could be a suspect. What really sets the teaser apart is that it does not involve a single dialogue, yet it manages to create suspense only with stunning images and sounds.
Filmed originally in Tamil and Telugu, the film will be released in Telugu, English, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, with the English version titled as Silence. . If all goes as planned, the film will be screened early next year.
Anushka Shetty, who plays a silent artist in the film, would have a lot of weight for his character. In March, when her new pictures in a more fit avatar were shared online, fans could not stop going gaga for a new look.
Directed by Hemant Madhukar, Nishabdam was shot entirely in Seattle. It was produced by Kona Venkat and stars Anjali as the criminal agent of SAPD.
